Brain Tumour patient and family Information Day
Tuesday 6th March 2012 from 11.00am to 3.00pm At the Thackray Museum, Beckett Street, Leeds LS9 7LN (Ample parking, disabled access)
Coffee and cake will be available all day and at 12.00 a canapé lunch will be served before presentations at 12:30 from specialists in the Neurosciences fields including Surgery, Oncology, Pathology and Science.
You will have a chance to meet health professionals involved in the care of adults affected by brain tumours, including:
- Neuro oncology nurse specialist, occupational therapist, speech and language therapist, dietician, psychologist, epilepsy nurse.
Together with other organisations that may be able to help you, including:
- Brain Tumour Research and Support across Yorkshire (patient support group, grants, counselling service, fund research)
- Robert Ogden Centre
- Bexley Wing Information Centre
- Regional Cancer Support Networks

Wear a Hat for Research 2012
On the 30th of March 2012 BTRS will join Brain Tumour Research and the other member charities in encouraging nurseries, schools, colleges, universities, public sector bodies and office workers to make a donation in order to nominate their ‘head’ to wear a hat for the day in aid of the charity’s annual ‘Wear a Hat Day’. The campaign aims to raise awareness regarding the prevalence of brain tumours and the need for vital research.
